Milford Decides To Cancel Annual Memorial Day Parade

Milford parade organizers called off the event due to concerns about social distancing.

MILFORD, MA — Milford's annual Memorial Day celebration has been canceled due to concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.

Milford usually hosts a parade that travels along East Main Street, stopping at Calzone and Draper Memorial parks. Milford Veterans Agent John Pilla said the 2020 parade was canceled due to concerns about people being able to maintain social distance.

There will still be a Memorial Day observation in Milford. Local Boy Scouts and others will be placing flags at the graves of deceased veterans over the Memorial Day weekend, which begins on May 22.
