Milford Election Ballot Full
All of the nomination papers are in and it looks like voters will have their fair share of choices this election.
MILFORD, MA- The deadline to hand in nomination papers passed on Tuesday and candidates are stacked on a few town boards and committees, giving voters plenty of options.
Some notable races include seats for the Board of Selectmen, School Committee, Board of Library Trustees, constable and Trustees of Vernon Grove.
Incumbent and Chairman Michael Walsh will be defending his seat on the Board of Selectmen against Ami Clifford. Clifford is a local attorney and was a Town Meeting member in Precinct 1. Walsh was elected to the Board of Selectmen in 2017 to fill the two years left from Brian Murray's term- Murray left after he was elected state representative.

With just two seats open for School Committee the race is sure to heat up with six candidates running. Only incumbent James Ligor will be defending his seat, incumbent Joseph Morais did not pull papers. Competing for a seat are challengers Justin John Dulak, John Erickson, Tarik Miranda, R.J. Sheedy and Michael Visconti Jr.
The two open seats for Board of Library Trustees are seeing all new faces as the two incumbents, John P. Byrnes and Rory D'Alessandro, didn't pull nomination papers. That leaves the race up to Stephanie Abisla, Margaret Myatt and Scott Vecchiolla. Another candidate, David Probert, pulled nomination papers but never returned them.
