Milford Unofficial Election Results: Walsh Re-Elected

The unofficial results are in and some familiar faces are voted back in office while some new ones make an entrance as well.

MILFORD, MA — The unofficial results are in for Milford's 2019 annual election. In total, 2,266 residents hit the polls Tuesday to vote for the 11 positions on the ballot and Town Meeting members. That's 13 percent of all registered voters.

Michael Walsh won the Board of Selectmen seat by a landslide 1,745 votes according to the unofficial results against challenger Ami Clifford who got 449 votes. Walsh was elected to the Board of Selectmen in 2017 to fill the two years left from Brian Murray's term.

The two School Committee seats were won by incumbent James Ligor with 982 votes and John Erickson with 808 votes. Challenger RJ Sheedy was just under 100 votes behind Erickson getting 703 votes.

The Board of Library Trustees was the closest race of the election with unofficial results showing Margaret Myatt and Stephanie Abisla as winners. Myatt gained 1,186 votes and Abisla got 988 votes. But Scott Vecchiolla was only a handful of votes behind with 928 votes.

All five incumbents for Constable kept their seats according to the unofficial results. Joseph Arcudi had 1,373 votes, Mark Calzolaio had 1,260 votes, Nadine Ladeau got 1,161 votes, Raymond Pagucci Jr. got 1,243 votes and Mark Tosti had 1,125 votes.

The two seats for Trustees of Vernon Grove race went to incumbent Scott Vecchiolla and challenger Kristen Gardner. Marilyn Lovell passed away last week, though voters seemed to pay homage to her memory as she retained 916 votes.

Official election results will be released and finalized on Wednesday. Patch will have the official results as well.
