Milford Girls' Softball Defeats No. 1 Ranked Team
More than 200 people watched Monday as the Milford Varsity Girls Softball team defeated No. 1-ranked King Phillip.

Varsity Girls Softball Team on Monday defeated the state's top-ranked team, King Phillip, 2-0, thanks to a team effort.
At least 200 people attended the game, watching the No. 1-ranked King Phillip vs. No. 2-ranked Milford. The only two runs of the game came in the bottom of the second inning, when Caroline Fairbanks scored Milford’s first run after singling to the left. She moved to second base on a sac bunt by and was brought in to home to score on a single by
LeBrun then scored on a Lizzie Stallone ground rule double to left.

The Girls Softball team next will play at noon Friday, in an away game vs. North Attleboro.
