Milford Holds Special Town Election On 'The Pot Question'
Milford will join several other communities in voting on whether or not to allow recreational marijuana facilities in town.

MILFORD, MA—It's the marijuana ban ballot that several communities across Massachusetts have put out to the people since the state legalized recreational marijuana in the 2016 election.
Milford, on Tuesday, Sept. 19 of 2017, will hold a special town election to ask whether the town shall "prohibit the operation of Marijuana Retailers, as defined in G.L. c.94G § 1, within the Town of Milford."
General Laws Chapter 94G, Section 3, allows cities and towns in the Commonwealth to approve By-Laws or Ordinances prohibiting certain Marijuana establishments to operate. The question, if voted in the affirmative, would prohibit the establishment of Marijuana Retail Establishments in Milford.
