Milford Library Unveils Official "Library Of Things"
The library was lending out a few items here and there but has expanded and become an official "library or things."
MILFORD, MA — Hosting an outdoor movie night and need a projector? Maybe you have a bunch of records you really want to listen to and need a turntable? Before you run out to buy your tech at the store, Milford Library has a simpler solution — borrow it.
Milford Library announced on Tuesday it officially has a Library of Things, full of tech and gadgets residents can borrow for free. The library had been lending out a few of the things it had, a telescope, ukulele and Roku streaming sticks, but it has expanded even further.
The things in the library can only be borrowed for 14 days at a time and there are no renewals. You can put a hold on the item you want to borrow but all items have to be returned directly to the library, not dropped in the book drop. The Library of Things is part of Milford Library's effort to show residents the building is a place with more to offer than just books and CD's.

Included in the library is a pair of Pilestone Red-Green Color Blind Glasses. The glasses have specially tinted lenses that help a person with color vision deficiency see colors more accurately. The library also has a wireless speaker, a karaoke machine, board games and a metal detector, just to name a few.
The full list of 'things' available to borrow is on the library's website.
