Police Chief Stalked; Milford Man Gets Jail Time

Dominick P. Cristino, 50, was sentenced by Judge Daniel M. Wrenn Monday morning.

A Milford man will spend time behind bars after being convicted of stalking Milford Police Chief Thomas O’Loughlin and Deputy Police Chief James Heron.

Dominick P. Cristino, 50, was sentenced by Judge Daniel M. Wrenn to 2 to 2 1/2 years in state prison, with 2 years of probation to follow, according to the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.

Last week, Cristino was found guilty of two counts of stalking by a Worcester Superior Court jury.

According to court records, Cristino took part in actions aimed at Chief O’Loughlin and Deputy Chief Heron that were considered to be stalking, including following their vehicles and recording their activities. The videos were posted on his Facebook page along with veiled threats of violence against the two.

Cristino said he was using his First Amendment rights.

Assistant District Attorney Joseph A. Simmons recommended 3 to 5 years in prison with probation to follow.
