Milford Names Tahon Ross Stacy Middle School Principal
Ross currently serves as an assistant principal for the Washington, D.C. Public Schools.

MILFORD, MA — Milford Public School's announced the new principal of Stacy Middle School is Tahon Ross, an assistant principal in Washington D.C. The district started their search about a month ago after announcing that current principal, Nancy Angelini, was be stepping out to take over as the Director of Grants, Technology and Media.
Ross is a native of Springfield, MA and graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with both a bachelor's an master's degree. Aside from being an assistant principal for the Washington, D.C. Public Schools, Ross has also worked as a dean, English teacher, and English department head in New York City, Atlanta, and DC.
Ross was one of three candidates for principal including Kevin O'Rourke and Stacy Middle School's current assistant principal, Nadine Clifford. The district said Ross has strong experiences in diverse environments and comes very highly recommended from administrators, central office personnel, and teachers from Washington DC. "He is a hands-on administrator who is focused on student success and growth," the district wrote on Facebook.

Over 60 parents, community members, teachers and administrators gave input during the hiring process. Ross will start in his new position in July.
The district is still looking for an assistant principal in Stacy Middle School as well. The candidates for assistant principal include Tim Fauth, the assistant principal at Grafton Middle School, as well as Jennifer Chen Fein, a resident principal at Boston Public Schools. James Heffron, a social studies teacher in Boston Public Schools and Sarah Sawyers are also candidates for the position. The district said Ross is reaching out to the finalists and the district hopes to hire the new assistant principal by the end of the week.
