Milford Officials Seeking Grant for Improvements on Water Street

The grant would also help fund housing rehabilitation efforts.

Milford's Community Development office is looking to file a $700,000 Community Development Block Grant application to help fund road and sidewalk improvements on Water Street, according to the Town Crier

The grant would fund repairs on the road from Prospect Street and to Lee Street, as well as continue funding for housing rehabilitation, and would allow the town to also tie in work done with past related projects in the area of Prospect Heights and Bancroft Park funded by CDBG, according to the report.

The Milford Board of Selectmen granted their approval at a meeting on Jan. 27 at the recommendation of Community Development Director Melissa Alves Tomas, according to the report.
