Milford Students Chosen As Jersey Mike’s Ambassadors For Special Olympics

MILFORD, MA — A pair of Milford students will help support the Special Olympics in Massachusetts this month.

Two grade 11 students at Milford High School, Trevor Dupre and Miguel Herpin-Hernandez, were selected as some of the state's Special Olympics Jersey Mike's Ambassadors. The title was granted during the restaurant chain's "Month of Giving" fundraiser event throughout March.

The student duo will visit local Jersey Mike's, meet with staff and customers throughout the month, and raise awareness about the Special Olympics in Massachusetts.

Dupre and Herpin-Hernandez will serve as regional representatives covering the Milford, Franklin and Medway Jersey Mike's locations. They are just some of the representatives chosen by Special Olympics Massachusetts throughout the state, according to Alexis Forgit, a Special Education Teacher in the PreVocational Program at Milford High School.

To be selected, the pair had to apply and explain what inclusion means to them. They also had to share why the Special Olympics and Unified Sports are important to them.

Special Olympics is the 2026 beneficiary of Jersey Mike's Month of Giving, which takes place annually in March. The chain accepts donations building toward the company's Day of Giving on Mar. 25, when all restaurants will donate 100 percent of sales to support the Special Olympics.
