Police Log: Fire Truck Slides Across Road While Responding to Accident

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

At 7:08 a.m., Milford police received a report of a snow blower that was reportedly stolen from a property on Westbrook Street overnight. 

At 5:13 p.m., police received a report of a man in his 20s walking around on Kellett Drive, wearing a bright green shirt and soliciting without a license. Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the man. 

At 5:41 p.m., police received a report of a two-car accident with injuries on Reservoir Road. Upon arrival, police contacted a tow truck to respond to the scene, at which two individuals refused medical treatment, according to police records. At 6:24 p.m., a fire truck that was on scene reportedly slid across the road and almost hit a police cruiser. No one was in the fire truck at the time, according to reports.

At 7:07 p.m., police received a report of a burst water pipe on Quirk Circle with claims that it may have caused an electrical fire. Upon arrival, police cleared the scene and deemed it solely a water pipe issue.
