Police Log: Man Punches out Window, Rat Poison Emergency
The following information was supplied by the Milford police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police responded to numerous noise complaints over the weekend, and to reports of suspicious vehicles or activities. Officers also responded Saturday night to a disturbance among men following a motor vehicle collision near dowtown, which resulted in an arrest for assault and malicious destruction of property.
Friday, May 4
3:44 p.m.: A caller reported a hit-and-run on Franklin Street. She said the car had pulled out, and she pulled over "because she thought the car would have stopped, but didn't." The car was described as having a beige bottom and a brown roof.

5:40 p.m.: A caller told police a large group of men were playing volleyball in Prospect Heights, and the kids were in the park unattended. Police determined the children had an uncle watching them.
6:13 p.m.: A caller complained multiple vehicles were in a no parking area at Tomaso Field on Beach Street. Police determined there were multiple vehicles, but none were parked illegally.

6:35 p.m.: A caller said a black Ford F-150 was all over the road on Dilla Street, and the driver was yelling obscenities out the window. The truck was gone when police arrived.
7:27 p.m.: A caller told police an erratic driver was heading into Hopkinton on Purchase Street, in a silver or beige Trailblazer. The truck was gone when police arrived.
8:17 p.m.: Police and firefighters responded to a two-vehicle crash between a Ford Explorer and a Dodge Durango on Cape Road, opposite Fafama Auto Sales. The Fire Department determined no ambulance was needed.
9:10 p.m.: Police arrived at to attempt to serve a warrant called in by State Police. Additional police were called in once it was determined the party had left on foot. Police apprehended her a short time later. Police arrested Jessica Hanlon, 31, of 11 Windjammer Rd., Harwich, on five warrants.
9:44 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters and complained she was receiving harassing phone calls. A report was filed.
11:46 p.m.: A caller on Grant Street said a vehicle outside the location had taken off, shortly after a woman came out of a house screaming at the car. Police checked and determined everything was OK.
11:52 p.m.: A caller reported a young woman at the was behind the counter "and then jumped the desk and ran out the door" and left in a gold car.
Saturday, May 5
1:35 a.m.: A caller on Haven Street said he heard about four shots fired near his house, possibly coming from the Police checked the area of McGill Lane.
10:11 a.m.: A caller on West Street told police her nephew had ingested rat poison. The nephew was taken to
10:59 a.m.: A caller at told police that a woman appeared to be heavily intoxicated and was falling out of her chair in the hotel's restaurant. Police determined she was not intoxicated, but was wanted on a warrant out of South Carolina.
11:10 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on North Bow at Jefferson streets, police arrested Jander Menezes, 22, of 43 Claflin St., Apt. 2, Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and registration not in possession. The 1997 Pontiac Bonneville was towed.
1:44 p.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, near , police arrested Tiago W. DeOliveira, 22, of 15 Shadowbrook Ln., Apt. 28, Milford, on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to display owner's name in truck. Police were seeking a summons to charge Onezimo C. DeMelo, 43, of 10 Claudette Dr., Apt. 9, Milford, with allowing improper operation of a motor vehicle. The Ford van was towed.
1:53 p.m.: A complaint of loud music on Bancroft Avenue was received. Police arrived and heard nothing at the location.
1:54 p.m.: A complaint of loud music was received from Pine Street, but the call was cancelled before police arrived.
3:03 p.m.: Bellingham Police advised of a car fire on Interstate 495 northbound. State Police said it was one mile north of Exit 20. The fire was extinguished.
3:16 p.m.: A woman called on a cell phone from a Toyota Yaris saying the male driver had a heart condition "and was sweating profusely" but refuses to stop. Police checked for the vehicle but were unable to locate it.
3:49 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported in the parking lot of on Medway Road. No injuries were reported.
3:51 p.m.: A white or brown van was parked on Fairfield Court and was suspicious, a caller said, because it's been there for weeks and people are always coming in and out of it.
4:41 p.m.: A woman walked in to police headquarters to speak to an officer about a stolen gold necklace. She left before she spoke to the officer.
6:23 p.m.: Multiple calls came in about a head-on collision on Main at Green Streets, involving a Honda Accord and a Chevrolet Impala. Air bags were deployed and tows were required for both vehicles. The occupants of the cars, however, declined medical treatment.
9:12 p.m.: A disturbance was reported on South Bow Street. The male caller said it began with a motor vehicle collision, between a GMC van and a Chevrolet Tahoe. A male could be heard "in the background screaming 'he better be American'," according to the narrative. The caller reported the other man had "punched out his window." A second caller reported he was "attacked by a group of males exiting a white van. He states he defended himself then, and punched out their window." This caller was not listening to the dispatcher's instructions, according to the narrative. Several officers responded. Police arrested Joshua Shane Gibson, 37, of 82 S. Bow St., Milford, on charges of assault and battery and malicious destruction of property valued at more than $250.
9:47 p.m.: A caller on Debbie Lane reported a suspicious motor vehicle, parked in the woods with no one around it. Police checked it out, and found the car was unoccupied and parked legally.
10:11 p.m.: A woman told police that every night for the past few weeks, someone had been ringing her doorbell on Ivy Lane, and then taking off.
11:27 p.m.: Police received a noise complaint, about a group of people being loud, on Senate Road. Police spoke to the occupants but said, on arrival, the scene didn't appear to be noisy.
Sunday, May 6
12:06 a.m.: A complaint of loud music came in from Water Street. Police spoke to the noisemakers.
12:22 a.m.: A caller on Congress Street reported a loud party. Police spoke to the people, and determined the noise level was acceptable.
12:40 a.m.: A noise complaint came in on Colonial Road, specifically, men yelling on the second floor. Police restored peace.
12:50 a.m.: A caller told police a Dodge Durango was operating erratically on West Street, and was "all over the roadway," having entered the road from a bar in Upton. The driver turned into Hopedale, and so that agency was notified.
2:40 a.m.: A noise complaint came in from Prospect Street. People were being really loud in the driveway across from the caller's location. Police spoke to them.
4:14 a.m.: Upton Police reported an altercation going on outisde the The disruptive parties were gone when Milford police arrived.
4:54 a.m.: Following a motor vehicle stop on Main Street, near the Silver Hanger Cleaners, police arrested Robert D. Hamelin, 32, of 55 Lake St., Uxbridge, on a warrant.
6:14 a.m.: A caller reported a motor vehicle was parked slightly off the road on Trettle Drive at Ferguson Drive, lodged on some rocks. The owner was notified, and said he didn't know the vehicle was parked there, that his daughter had the vehicle last. The vehicle was towed.
9:20 a.m.: A complaint of loud music came in from Oliver Street. The caller reported the music had been loud for a few hours. Police reported they were unable to locate any noise.
1:12 p.m.: A woman told police her 20-year-old son was "out of control." Several officers responded, but no arrests were reported.
