Police Log: Man Reported Shooting Air Pistol at Homes on Spring Street

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Wednesday, Aug. 20

At 1:50 a.m., Massachusetts State Police informed Milford Police that they received a call from an individual regarding a suspicious-looking car outside of her home on Exchange Street with two occupants and a handicap plate.

At 1:27 p.m., a caller reported a gray BMW had been vandalized in the area of the Aldo Supermarket on East Main Street.

At 2:35 p.m., Milford police received reports of a two-car accident in the area of Fruit and South Main streets. A driver and a passenger were transported from the scene, and another driver received a citation, according to police reports.

At 2:40 p.m., police received a report of a three-car accident in the area of the Comfort Inn on Fortune Boulevard. All vehicles were reportedly towed from the scene.

At 5:41 p.m., a caller reported that a man yelled at workers in the municipal parking lot on Exchange Street before stealing a blower and leaving the area. Officers responded and spoke to all individuals involved and determined the matter to be a misunderstanding.

At 5:53 p.m., police received a report that a group of youths were using the field at the Evergreen Center on Fortune Boulevard without permission. Officers investigated and confirmed that the youths had permission to be at that location.

At 6:50 p.m., police received two reports regarding a resident of Spring Street who had been allegedly shooting an air pistol at surrounding houses, windows and garages.

At 8:51 p.m., a caller reported that a cat had been hit by a car but was still alive in the area of East Main Street and Altieri Court. Animal Control responded to the scene.
