Police Log: Resident Evacuated While Crews Inspect Sparking Wire

Wednesday, April 16
At 1:17 p.m., Milford police received a report of a two-car accident in the area of Rite Aid Pharmacy on Medway Road involving a white Chevrolet and a tan Oldsmobile.
At 2:34 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident in the area of Lydia Lane and Purchase Street with one person treated for leg pain.

At 8:31 p.m., police responded to Purchase Street on a report that a wire connected to a house was sparking. The resident of the home was advised to evacuate while a wiring inspector responded and National Grid was contacted to assist.
At 10:03 p.m., police responded to the area of Stop and Shop on East Main Street on a report that a manhole cover had been dislodged from the roadway.

Thursday, April 17
At 1:04 a.m., police received a report that a man in a dark four door vehicle backed up at the McDonald's drive-thru parking lot and struck a vehicle. The Hopedale Police Department was contacted and advised; officers checked the area but were not able to locate anyone.
At 10:42 a.m., police received a report regarding medication that was allegedly taken from a vehicle in the area of Spruce and High streets.
