Popular Milford Pizzeria Under New Ownership
Pizza Chef on Main Street has a new name and a new owner.
MILFORD, MA — A longtime Milford eatery is now under new ownership and has a new name.
Pizza Chef, at 179 Main St., is now Classic Pizza. The change came after Pizza Chef's owner, Alexandros Voyiatzis, decided to retire after 45 years in business, he told the Milford Select Board.
Voyiatzis opened Pizza Chef in 2008, according to an archived Daily News report.

Voyiatzis, along with Kosta Bregu, general manager of Classic Pizza, appeared before the Select Board last month to request a transfer of a Common Victualler License.
“We’re coming in with new energy to keep up his good job and make it even better,” Bregu said of Voyiatzis during the meeting. “We’ll make you proud.”

The Milford Select Board unanimously voted in favor of the change of ownership.
“Classic pizza has been here for quite some time, and we’re very proud to have you here," Select Board member Paul Mazzuchelli said during the meeting.
The restaurant's Marlborough location is located at 72 Hosmer St. The eatery has been serving pizza since 1995, according to its website.
The restaurant serves pizza, grinders, salads, pasta, calzones and more. You can find a complete menu for the Milford location here.
Bregu also expressed interest in serving beer and wine at the Milford location after the board voted in favor of the change of ownership, so that could be something available at the business in the future.
