REMINDER: Last Day To Register To Vote In Milford Special Election Coming Up

MILFORD, MA—Want to decide whether to ban recreational marijuana sales in Milford? Make sure you're registered to vote on time.
It's the marijuana ban ballot that several communities across Massachusetts have put out to the people since the state legalized recreational marijuana in the 2016 election.
Milford, on Tuesday, Sept. 19 of 2017, will hold a special town election to ask whether the town shall "prohibit the operation of Marijuana Retailers, as defined in G.L. c.94G § 1, within the Town of Milford."

General Laws Chapter 94G, Section 3, allows cities and towns in the Commonwealth to approve By-Laws or Ordinances prohibiting certain Marijuana establishments to operate. The question, if voted in the affirmative, would prohibit the establishment of Marijuana Retail Establishments in Milford.
The town clerk is reminding residents that the last day to register to vote for the Special Town Election on is Wednesday, Aug. 30, until 8 p.m. at the Milford Town Clerk's Office, 52 Main St.

If you are already a registered voter they do not need to re-register for this election. This is only for residents who are not registered voters in the Town of Milford.
