Last year’s event was held at Walmart in Whitinsville and successfully collected over 6,000 toys. A large factor in the success of the drive is through the generous support from "Shopping Spree Sponsors."

A Shopping Spree Sponsor is an individual/business that donates a minimum of $250 in cash to the cause. The cash donation will be spent on toys by an official MyFM Tailgates For Toys volunteer in Walmart. In return for the monetary donation, the purchasing work is done, a fun Facebook video is posted with all the toys purchased in their name as a thank you.

"We collected $16,000 last year with over 50 sponsors. Those sponsorships make a huge impact," MyFM Operations manager and event coordinator Ray Auger said.

The public is encouraged to drop off a toy or purchase one in Walmart to donate while you’re shopping.

Toys for Kids and Teens is a 5013c non-profit organization that collects and disperses toys during the holiday season to families in need. Toys for Kids and Teens covers the Blackstone Valley area, further points east.
