WATCH: Milford Police Honor Fallen Auburn Officer Ronald Tarentino
Milford police led a convoy of 800 vehicles to honor Tarentino, who was killed in the line of duty in May.

MILFORD, MA—Joining hundreds of other departments across the state, Milford police honored fallen Auburn officer Ronald Tarentino recently, joining in the June 19 convoy from Leicester to the Auburn Elks.

"I was very proud and overcome by the feeling of being able to help," said Officer Philip Franzen in his post.

Tarentino was shotduring a traffic stop on an early Sunday morning in May in Auburn.
Jorge Zambrano, 35, Worcester, who was accused of shooting and killing Officer Tarentino, was killed during an extended standoff that took place at an apartment in Oxford, only miles away from Tarentino's shooting.
A memorial fund has been established for the fallen officer, a Tewksbury native and veteran of both the Auburn and Leicester police departments.
