'Welcome Santa' Parade Coming To Milford In December

Local firefighters will bring Santa Claus to Milford in a parade set for Dec. 5.

MILFORD, MA — If you get a visit from Santa Claus this year, you can thank Milford firefighters for bringing him to town.

On Dec. 5, local firefighters will parade Santa through town in a fire truck. The "Welcome Santa" parade will officially kick off the 2021 holiday season, and is being sponsored by the Milford Firefighters Local 2140 union.

The Santa parade will follow Milford's tree-lighting ceremony on Dec. 3, the first in-person lighting since the pandemic began. Temple Beth Shalom will hold a Hanukkah celebration on Sunday to mark the start of that eight-day Jewish holiday.
