A Little Bit of Paradise at Milton’s Belle Visage Day Spa

The Thursday Patch Passport shows you a Little Bit of Paradise. Belle Visage is a local spa where you can feel like you are a million miles away from the daily stress of life, without having to go far from home. Come along and relax. ...

Whe entering in East Milton Square, the calming space seems a world away from a bustling Adams Street outside. Cozy earth-toned furniture and serene music fill the waiting area and a fresh and clean aroma greet the customer. According to the senses, Belle Visage appears posh, but unpretentious.

Creating a great relaxing atmosphere is a speciality of co-owners Stacey Winick and Sophia Goldberg.

Winick, a Milton resident, has run the business at its current location, 564 Adams St., for the past 17 years. Goldberg, A Russian born aesthetician, who now lives in Sharon, has been in the beauty profession since 1982, both in Israel and the United States.

Priding itself on being a “South Shore sanctuary," Belle Visage is open seven days a week and offers a full list of amenities concerning health and beauty.

The meaning behind the business’s French name, Belle Visage, is the masculine form of “beautiful face”  and the staff offers everything to help their customers achieve a beautiful face and body.

The front sales area has six manicure and three pedicure stations.

In the back spa area, there are five private rooms, two designated for facials, one for waxing, one for tanning and one for massage.

Goldberg noted that the spa offers a variety of skin and hair products, “from Switzerland, France, Russia, Canada and the United States,” like Moroccan Oil Hair Care and Rodan and Fields Skincare.

Unique services offered at Belle Visage include the “princess pedicure” for girls as young as seven who come in with their mothers, birthday and bridal parties and an exhilarating hot stone massage.

The pumpkin enzyme peel has also become popular among customers because of the fast results.

“We use pumpkin enzymes from Budapest” said Goldberg, “… it brightens and stimulates the skin cells quickly. People come in [to get the peel] who are going out that night."

Even with competitors in town and the current economy, business has been very good for the spa because of a steady stream of return customers.

Weekly deals appear on the spa’s website, bvdayspa.com, as well as print out coupons for discounts and free services. An upcoming deal just in time for the July’s sweltering sun, for instance, will be a special price of $70 on a derma sound peel targeting sun damage.
