MILTON, MA — A brand new neighborhood spot is coming to a historic bank in Massachusetts's South Shore.

Two Pence Market is expected to open in Milton this summer. A new retail and gathering spot from the team behind beloved bakery and cafe Steel & Rye in Milton and Prairie Fire in Brookline is set to open inside a historic bank building, located at 2 Eliot St.

The market will feature a mix of quick-service options, house-made bagels, farm-fresh produce, proteins, coffees, smoothies and more. The business said guests will be able to explore the building's original bank vault, which will be transformed into a retail space for wine and spirits.

There will also be a walk-up window to provide easier access for takeout, ice cream and seasonal treats, according to the business.

“We wanted to create a space that feels like it’s always been a part of the neighborhood,” said restaurateur Dan Kerrigan. “Whether you stop in for a quick coffee, a meal, or items for a dinner party, Two Pence is meant to add to the everyday rhythm of Milton.”

The business said it aims to be a "modern town square.. rooted in both is history and community."

More details, including an official opening date, hours, menus, and other announcements, will be shared on Two Pence Market's Instagram account in the coming weeks.
