"Art from the Heart" Program at St. Michael's
Escape the snow, meet new friends, and explore your creative side
Each Saturday in Lent from 10am to noon forget the snow outside and explore
your creative side at St. Michael’s “Art from the Heart,” an artful and meditative
program for anyone ages 10 to 110. Participants are invited to join local artists
and neighbors, and excavate their creative selves finding new ways to reach into
their hearts in search of the spirit within.
March 7 - Prayer and pictures, and Glue - Does an image speak to you, cut it out
and put it together with words or colors and find a new way to listen to your own
heart. You will make one or two collages to take home. Leader TBA
March 21 - Writing Your Heart Out: yours, mine and ours. You will be inspired by
local poet, writer and editor Sheila Monks.
March 28- Zentangles - Let the ink flow and your mind and heart unravel as we
explore our ability to capture ourselves on paper. Claire Morley, artist and
counselor with a masters in Holistic Counseling will guide us with music, pen and
ink. A contribution of $10 is requested to help defray costs.
“Art from the Heart” will take place at St. Michael’s in the Upper Parish Hall at
112 Randolph Ave in Milton. The church is accessible by MBTA and is
handicapped accessible. To register for one or all “Art from the Heart” sessions,
