Boston Rugby Football Club Starts Season at Brooks Field

The professional rugby club will be calling the field at Milton High their home for the spring season, which kicked off on Saturday night.

Professional rugby arrived at on March 26. The Boston Rugby Football Club (BRFC) is playing their spring home games at Brooks Field at Milton High this season and their first home game was against the New York Athletic Club of New York.

A large crowd, many were first timers, showed up on a cold March night to watch the BRFC defeat the New York team.

 Nick Elrick, one of the assistant coaches for Milton's new rugby team, is playing for the BRFC. Elrick, who is from New Zealand, was recruited by the BRFC, and in his spare time assists Head Coach Joe Dolan coaching the Milton High team.

The BRFC is part of the Rugby Super League that consist of 14 teams.
