Curtis Twins Compete at the MIAA Tournament
Clark University, Worcester, Mass, June 18, 2011 - The MIAA State Tennis Doubles Championship got under way at Clark University and Milton twins, Emily and Sara Curtis were competing in their first State Doubles Championship Tennis Tournament.
Emily and Sarah attend Ursuline Academy of Dedham and were the MIAA South Sectional Champions. Their competition in the semi-final doubles match was another sister team from Winchester, Katy and Karen McKeough. The McKeough sisters, Katy a senior and her sister Karen a sophomore, were the North Sectional Champions.
The Curtis Twins would lose to the McKeough sisters, 6-4, 6-0 in the semi-final completion match.

The McKeough sisters would also win their next match against Emily Bourke and Stephanie Hom of Algonquin in the finals and win the state championship.
The Curtis sisters were 10-1 during the regular season and their Coach Lynne Smith has done a great job bringing the young team along. Congratulations to Emily and Sarah Curtis, who surely will be back next year, for a job well done.
