February Sales Holding Steady in the Milton Real Estate Market

It may be snowing outside but March is here, meaning we're at the beginning of the spring real estate market.  Let's take a look at the numbers from February.

From February 1, 2013 - February 28, 2013, there were 15 single family homes sold in Milton*. The lowest priced home sold for $260,00.00 and the highest priced home sold for $1,225,000.00. The average sales price for the month was $543,800.00.   

February is not normally a busy month but February 2013 sales were the same as February 2012.  The chart attached shows home sales for the month of January over the past five years.  

In spite of being a traditionally slow month, February sales seem to be holding steady in Milton.  2012 and 2013 recorded the highest number of February sales over the past five years.  So while I reported last month that January sales were slow compared to 2012, February seems to be back on track.

Inventory does remain low, however, this week saw a number of new listings hit the Milton real estate market in a variety of price ranges.  Well-priced, well-located homes in good condition, however, are moving fast. Buyers need to be pre-approved and ready to move if they see a house that interests them.
