Homeowners with Oil Heating System Must Take Action
Homeowners with oil heating systems will need to make upgrades if they don't already have them.
As of September 30, 2011 homeowners who have oil heat must make some upgrades. There are two things you need to do.
1. There is a protective sleeve that goes over the oil line from the tank to the heating system.
2. There is an oil safety valve that needs to be on the oil tank where the lines connect to it. It’s recommended that you have a heating contractor come and make these repairs.
