Madigan appointed Huskies Head Hockey Coach

It is now official – Milton’s own Jim Madigan has been appointed the new head hockey coach of the Northeastern University Huskies. Madigan succeeds former head coach Greg Cronin who has moved onto the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Madigan is a longtime member of Northeastern University as Associate Dean for Development and involved with hockey most of his life. During his playing years at Northeastern he was a standout for the Huskies Team that won two Beanpot Tournaments, 1981-85, and NU’s only NCAA Frozen Four entrant in 1981-82.

Madigan has remained active in hockey and was a scout for the Pittsburgh Penguins when they won the Stanley Cup in 2009.
