Milton Cheerleaders Participate in Bay State Conference Championships

On Tuesday, November 1, Milton’s varsity cheerleaders took part in the Bay State Conference Fall Cheer and Dance competition. The event was held at Braintree High School and eighteen cheerleaders and dance teams participated.  

The teams were judged on their routines that included jumps, dance, choreography, cheers, gymnastics and a number of other requirements.

The top three winners were Newton North, Framingham and Braintree. Additional teams were qualified for further competition to be held later this year. The Milton team was not selected, but Danielle Kavey and Alexis Marathas were awarded Honorable Mention and All Conference All Star Awards respectively. 

Without skipping a beat the Lady Wildcats were right back on the mats Wednesday in the Copeland Field House getting ready, as they do every week, to lead the cheers for the varsity football team.
