The first game of the season for the Milton High Lady Wildcats Field Hockey team was played in the rain as the wind whipped through Brooks Field on Wednesday afternoon. On a day that should have been warm, but was more like a wet, late spring day.
Milton had little trouble with the Brookline team keeping them on the defense for most of the game. Milton's goalie, Morgan Kelley, stopped everything the Warriors fired at her, while Niki Regan, Bridget Renehan and Izzy Andrews scored for the Wildcats.
The first game of the season was a charm for the Wildcats Field Hockey team as they defeated the Warriors of Brookline 3-0.

"We are undefeated at home, 1-0," said a happy varsity field hockey coach Jamie Donovan. "I was really pleased - the passing was great and the lines worked great together. I think we need to work more on scoring when in the circle, but overall they played great. I am really impressed for our first game."
Next up for the Wildcats will be at Norwood High School, Friday, September 9th with a 3:45 p.m. start.
