On Wednesday, October 5, 2011 Milton High's golf team (6-6) played Weymouth (1-6) at the Granite Links Golf Course in Quincy.
The afternoon had a little bit of everything in the weather department. First a shower that came and went followed by clouds and very heavy winds. The wind really played havoc with the golfers as a drive into it can take the ball in any direction.
Milton's Sam Taugher put all the obstacles aside and shot a 2-over-par 38 to lead his team to a win 70-38 over the Weymouth team.

With only two matches left the Milton Wildcats need one more win to qualify for the playoffs later this month. Milton's first year coach, Ben Kelly, is optimistic the team will rally and qualify.
Milton will next play Dedham on October 13, followed with the last game of the regular season against the first place Wellesley Raiders (12-1) who are leading the Herget Division of the Bay State League on October 17.
