Milton High Field Hockey Defeats Framingham

Milton High upset Framingham 1-0 at Brook Field on Thursday.

On September 27, 2012 Milton High School's Lady Wildcats Varsity Field Hockey team played the Lady Flyers from Framingham at Brooks Field.

Milton (2-4) were looking to surprise Framingham (3-4-1) who are currently in third place in the Carey Division of the Bay State League. Coach Jamie Donovan used a non-stop offense that kept the ball in Framingham territory for a majority of the first half. With little time left Milton’s Niki Regan finally scored giving Milton the lead 1-0 at the half.

During the second half, not to be outdone, the Flyers kept Milton’s goalie Morgan Kelley defending shot after shot as they attempted to score.

As time was running out Framingham charged the goal nearly scoring only to have Kelley deny the tying score. Time would run out on the Flyers giving Milton the well deserved win 1-0.

Next up for Milton is on September 28th against Ursuline Academy at Brooks Field, Milton. Scheduled start time is 6 p.m.
