Milton High Loses to Weymouth 90-78
The Milton High boys basketball team dropped a tough home game to Weymouth on Friday night.
A night of Wildcats boys basketball was played at Milton High on Friday, February 3, with the Milton Wildcats and the Weymouth Wildcats.
Despite leading throughout the game and on the verge of an upset over the Weymouth team; the Milton Wildcats undoing would come by technical fouls in the last minutes of the game.
With less than 3 minutes to play Milton was holding onto a 3 point lead against the 13-1 Weymouth team, 76-73.

Behind freshman Juwan Gooding (26 points) and junior Jonge DaSilva (26 points) the Wildcats had outscored Weymouth’s sharp-shooters and seemed in control of the game.
But feeling the urgency to get back into the contest Weymouth began to pressure the Milton offense and would come even with Milton at the 2:42 mark, 76-76.

As the game was winding down three technical fouls would be called by the officials against Milton that would give Weymouth the edge they needed.
After falling into foul trouble Milton never recovered and would lose the emotional game 90-78. Milton dropped to 4-9 for the season.
Milton next plays on Tuesday, February 7, at Natick and back home for senior night on February 10, against Walpole. Start time is 6:30 p.m.
