Milton High, Milton Academy to Square off in Baseball and Softball Games for 350th Celebration
The baseball and softball teams from Milton High and Milton Academy will play on April 15 in honor of the town's 350th Anniversary celebration.
The Milton 350th Committee recently announced that on Sunday, April 15, a softball game between girls and is scheduled at 930 a.m. at in honor of the Town of Milton 350th Anniversary Celebration. This is the first time the girls' teams have met for the town's anniversary celebration to the best of anyone's memory.
At 2 p.m. at the Curry College baseball diamond, the Milton High School baseball team will take on the team from Milton Academy in a classic game in honor of the 350th anniversary. These two teams last met for this purpose in 1962 for the 300th Anniversary of the town.
The final score of that tilt was Milton High School 6 - Milton Academy 4.

In 1912, the teams battled for the 250th Anniversary trophy with the prize going to the Academy - final score: Milton Academy 7 - Milton High 5 in ten innings.
It is hoped that many citizens, baseball fans and especially alumni of these two schools will turn out for these two important and historic contests.
