Milton High Participates in Conference Indoor Track Meet

Milton’s Girls and Boys indoor track teams competed in the annual Bay State Conference Meet held at the Reggie Lewis Center against teams from both the Carey and Herget Division in the conference. 

On the girls side Milton’s Molly Dempsey and Angie Higgins laid down some serious challengers for next weeks State Class C meet. Dempsey winning the high jump, third in the 300 meter run, and third in the 55 meters hurdles. Higgins  finished fourth in the 55 meters dash and fourth in the 55 meters hurdles.

On the boys side, Jamal Grant was the workhorse for the team competing in the long jump and two relay races, the 4x200 meters and 4x400 meter, that placed second and third, respectively. Justin Trafford, fourth in the 300 meter dash, and Phillipe Jarnvier, fourth in the 600 meter dash, are serious competitors in their races. 

Athletes who qualify at next week’s Class C Meet will then go onto the All State Meet to be held on February 26, 2012 at RLC.
