On October 17, the Milton High Varsity Volleyball Lady Wildcats (7-7) played host to the division-leading Red and Blue of Natick (9-3).
The Wildcats were in a close contest with Natick when middle hitter, Kitty Sargent, crashed to the floor with a leg injury. Milton was already one player down with an injured Samantha Curley having to sit out of the game because of a shoulder injury. Milton rallied behind Captains Kattie Krauss and Ellie Taber winning the exciting first set 27-25.
In the second set Milton was leading 16-9 and looked like they were going to upset Natick sending them home early, but the Natick girls didn't panic and worked their way back into the game winning it 30-28. The third set was all Natick as they pulled away winning 25-17 and the match 2-1.

After the game Coach Robin Lee stated, "In the first set we clearly had some bad luck, our middle hitter she went down, but the girls rallied back and we were able to dig it out for the win. In the second set the girls got a little too comfortable and we paid for it. After that they couldn't get it back. We are now 7-7 and need another win to make tournament under the Sullivan Rule."
Next up for the Milton team is another home game against Notre Dame Academy on Wednesday with a start time of 5 p.m.
