Milton Boys Varsity Baseball-Milton v West Roxbury.
Cunningham Park, Milton, Mass, May 26, 2011- This was senior night for the Milton varsity baseball team and the last home game as the regular season was coming to a close. Milton was on a high after beating Dedham the day before securing a spot in tournament play. Today’s task at hand was a tough city team in a non-league contest.
West Roxbury High who has the best record in the Boston City League of 9-2 would test Milton after tying the game in the top of the 4th inning 3-3 in a 7 inning game.
Coach Ted Curley would make some adjustments in the pitching game and held West Roxbury scoreless for the rest of the game.

Milton would score twice in the bottom of the 5th inning securing the win 5-3.
“West Roxbury is the best team in the city. They started fighting back and we made a couple of base running mistakes, but my seniors really wanted this game,” said Coach Curley. “ We are 11-9 now and get ready for tournament play next week. More than likely most of our tournament games will be on the road, but I think we can do some damage,” said Curley.
