Cunningham Park, Milton, May 20, 2011 - Miltons’ Willie Archibald pitched another superb game as the Wildcats beat the league leading Rebels of Walpole 7-4. Archibald finished seven full innings before being relieved by Kerrigan Griffiths.
With rain threatening and thunder in the background, Kerrigan Griffiths kept the Rebels scoreless the rest of the game and the win over the Bay State leaders.
“I was very impressed with Willie (Archibald) today - he just got stronger as the game went on. My three hitters, Archibald (3 hits), Rob O’Neil (3 hits) and Conor Regan (4 hits) just tore it up today,” said Milton’s head coach Coach Ted Curley.

“Walpole is a very good team and came in today 13-0 in league play. Walpole has a chance to win a state championship - they are that good. When you beat a team like this you are really doing something,” said Curley
Milton has a current overall record of 8-8 and need two more wins to reach the magic number of 10 wins to be eligible for the state tournament play.
