Walpole Defeats Milton 41-3

Milton v Walpole

It was an overcast day that kept everyone guessing whether it was going to rain or not. The rain held off, but the undefeated Rebels of Walpole (4-0) left little guessing that they are again Super Bowl contenders as they beat the Milton Wildcats (0-4) 41-3 on Friday, October 1, at Milton's Brooks Field.

The game brought some exciting moments in the first period as Milton's Andrew Hunt recovered a fumble in Walpole territory. Milton's quarterback, Liam Collins, would throw to an open Julian Estevez in the end zone only to have the ball miss its mark as Estevez was unable to pull it in. A few moments later Walpole would fumble again and Milton's Jamal Grant would recover. Unable to score Milton's kicker, Joe Kennedy, would put the ball between the uprights for a 32 yard field goal giving the Wildcats the lead 3-0.

This would be the last time the Wildcats would score as the Rebels would put up 41 unanswered points and win the game.
