On Friday, October 7, it was another hard day on the turf for the Milton High Wildcats at Wellesley against the Raiders (1-4) losing 34-13. Both teams entered the game winless and looking for their first win of the season.
In the first quarter Wellesley would put 14 points on the board followed by 13 more points in the second quarter. The Wildcats would score after Matt Lezama caught a 45-yard toss from QB Liam Collins that brought the fans to their feet. The extra point try would miss and at the half Wellesley had a comfortable lead 27-6.
In the third quarter Wellesley would score again and took a 34-6 lead into the fourth quarter. With a little more than 8 minutes in the game Liam Collins would find Colin O'Brien open in the flat and O'Brien would scamper in for a 30-yard TD making the score 34-12. Joe Kennedy kicked the extra point. That is how the game would end giving Wellesley their first win of the season 34-13.

The Milton Wildcats (0-5) continue to struggle trying to find the right combination to put the team in the winning column. The Wildcats next game is October 14 at Needham against the 3-1 Rockets. Game time is 7 p.m.
