A Department of Recreation and Conservation Ranger saved a Brockton teen from drowning, yesterday evening at Houghton's Pond.
According to the Milton Fire Department's report a 17-year-old male was pulled from the water around 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Once they arrived on the scene, the Fire Department gave the boy oxygen before he was transported by Fallon to Milton Hospital.
The beach, which will have on-duty lifeguards beginning this weekend was unsupervised at the time. According to DCR spokeswoman Catherine Williams rangers were in the area and noticed a fatiguing swimmer.
