Brookwood¹s 2nd annual Farm-to-Table dinner will take place Sunday, September 21, 4:00-7:00pm at the Bradley Estate, just down the road in Canton. This not-to-be-missed event will feature a chef-prepared farm-to-table dinner featuring all locally sourced food, craft beer, local wine and live music. I hope you’ll join us for this important event that support Brookwood’s mission.

Brookwood is much more than just a local organic farm growing good food for its members. Since our founding in 2006, we have worked hard to ensure that the food grown at Brookwood gets to areas where fresh food is hard to find and often too expensive for low-income residents. To do this, we have partnered with a number of food pantries, shelters and neighborhood organizations throughout the metro-Boston area to bring fresh food where it is needed most.

In 2013, Brookwood donated over 12,000lbs of fresh produce, valued at $36,000! Our weekly deliveries included the Germantown Neighborhood Pantry in Quincy; Rosie¹s Place; Boston Natural Area Network¹s Produce To Pantries, the Haitian America Public Health Initiative pantry in Mattapan; the Milton Food Pantry; the Canton Food Pantry; as well as a number of other local programs and events.

To meet our commitment to food justice, Brookwood has to raise $50,000 each year to support our donation programs. This dinner is a small part of the fundraising we do all year to keep our food donation programs growing. I hope you will join us on September 21st to celebrate the harvest¹s bounty with good friends and share our commitment to good food for all! Tickets are
