Bring a picnic and enjoy our final outdoor concert of the season featuring the Nina Ott Trio.
Nina is a jazz pianist/organist and composer from Detroit who began playing piano at age 7. She has performed as a bandleader and side-woman in cross-genre projects at venues including the Shalin Liu in Rockport, the San Jose Jazz Festival, and the Detroit African American Festival. Nina has been on faculty at the Berklee College of Music and the Stanford Jazz Workshop, and has taught workshops for SFJazz, Rockport Music, and others. Her trio with bassist Chris Lopes and drummer Steve Langone specializes in original works that emphasize collective improvisation and shifts in rhythm and texture.
