Bring a picnic and enjoy our final outdoor concert of the season featuring the Nina Ott Trio.
Nina is a jazz pianist/organist and composer from Detroit who began playing piano at age 7. She has performed as a bandleader and side-woman in cross-genre projects at venues including the Shalin Liu in Rockport, the San Jose Jazz Festival, and the Detroit African American Festival. Nina has been on faculty at the Berklee College of Music and the Stanford Jazz Workshop, and has taught workshops for SFJazz, Rockport Music, and others. Her trio with bassist Chris Lopes and drummer Steve Langone specializes in original works that emphasize collective improvisation and shifts in rhythm and texture.

The American Revolution was fought not only on the battlefield, but also in kitchens, workshops, and homes across the colonies. As taxes on everyday necessities like tea and textiles increased, colonists found creative ways to resist by spinning their own cloth, brewing herb- and fruit-based Liberty Tea, and relying on homemade goods instead of British imports.
Join the 18th Century Cook Mike Smith, spinner Zoe Lawson, and several other traditional craftspeople on the Eustis Estate grounds for live demonstrations and hands-on activities that reveal how ordinary people turned everyday work into acts of resistance. Many of these stories are drawn from Historic New England’s exhibition <a href="https://ne250.org/myth-and-memory/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Myth &amp; Memory: Stories of the American Revolution</a>, now showing at the Eustis Estate.

Join us for an outdoor concert on the Quincy House lawn to celebrate the legacy of the American Revolution through music. In “The Revolutionary Drawing Room,” Arpeggione Ensemble recreates the atmosphere of a world on the edge of revolution, pairing music with writings from America’s past, present, and future. The music of the American Revolution was shaped by a multitude of cultures and peoples, nearly as diverse as American society today. From tavern songs from across the Atlantic to the latest Italian operas to newly penned calls against tyranny, music sparkled with excitement as change seemed just on the horizon. The most vibrant musical setting was often the drawing room, where lovers of music, poetry, and social discourse gathered.
The first floor of Quincy House will be open to explore starting at 4:00 p.m., music starts at 5:00.Historic New England Member: $20; Nonmember: $30
Chairs will be provided, or you are welcome to bring blankets for the grass. Picnics are allowed, but no alcohol is permitted on the property.

Dharma Dreams Vocational Center is a nonprofit vocational and life skills program based in Hanover, Massachusetts, serving young adults ages 18–26 with moderate cognitive disabilities.
