Milton woman to face trial on assault charge
Samantha T. Rivera, 20, of 11 Hawthorne Road, Milton had a charge of assault and battery continued to Aug. 16 for a jury trial in Quincy District Court.
The charge stems from a March 5, 2010 incident in Milton at 9:36 p.m. when pose responded to a report of a domestic dispute at 11 Hawthorne Road involving a domestic argument.

The victim allegedly had enormous welts and bruises on the back of her head and scratches to her hands and fingers, according to the police report.

Justin T. Pownell, 19, of 10 Silver Brook Lane, Woodbury, Conn., had two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person age 14 or older continued to Aug 3 in Quincy District Court.
The charges stem from a Sept. 7, 2011 incident in Milton following an investigation of alleged non-consensual sex with a female victim.
Hyde Park man faces traffic charge
Italo Rivera, 36, of 27 Riley Road, Apt. 20, Hyde Park failed to appear in court to be arraigned on a charge of operation of a motor vehicle unlicensed or with permit suspended.
A judge issued a default warrant. The charge stems from a Sept. 18, 2011 incident in Milton at 11:50 p.m. when police queried the status of Rivera's license on I-93.
