Case continued for alleged sale of marijuana
Norbert A. McCoy, 49, of 5 Ballou St., Apt. 1, Dorchester had charges of possession to distribute a Class D drug and a drug violation near a school or park continued to Sept. 12 for a hearing in Quincy District Court. The charges stem from an April 11 incident in Milton where police responded to a tip from the U.S. Postal Service about a package possibly containing marijuana being delivered to a Meagher Avenue residence in Milton. Police conducted surveillance of the residence and allegedly observed a grey Mazda pull up and the driver retrieve a blue package and place it in the back seat of the car. When police stopped the vehicle, the driver, McCoy, allegedly told police the package contained marijuana, according to the police report.

Michael G. Tolan, 57, of 141 Pleasant Street, Milton had charges of driving with license suspended, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and driving with registration suspended continued to Aug. 9 for a pretrial hearing in Quincy District Court. The charges stem from an April 11 incident in Milton at 7:49 p.m. when police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Edge Hill Road at Hollis Street.
