Curry College presents Myths, Lies, & Stereotypes of Native American Culture, an interactive presentation featuring Claudia Fox Tree, M.Ed.

Curry College presents Myths, Lies, & Stereotypes of Native American Culture, an interactive presentation featuring Claudia Fox Tree, M.Ed. The event will take place on Wednesday, November 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parents’ Lounge in the Hafer Academic Building on the College’s Milton campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. The event is free and open to the public.
Fox Tree, a resident of Bedford, is a member of the Arawak Nation, an artist, and a noted lecturer and teacher. Through an analysis of images, language, history, culture, and myths, Fox Tree will explain what it means to be sensitive and respectful of Native American Culture, while also discussing inaccurate or offensive stereotypes. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts-based institution located on 131 acres in Milton, MA. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, MA. Curry offers 21 undergraduate majors, as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice and nursing, with a combined enrollment of approximately 4,250 students.
