Jill Sobule at the Milton Art Center on October 5
Singer-songwriter Jill Sobule brings her celebrated humor to Milton to the town's new Art Center. It marks the start of an exciting series.

Songwriter and humorist Jill Sobule kicks off the first-ever Milton Music Series. Critically celebrated for her touching character sketches and witty send-ups, Jill captured the attention of major media outlets such as The New York Times with her latest release, Dottie’s Charms. It imagines a life through the charms in an antique bracelet and features collaborations with famous writers such as Jonathan Lethem.
Jill Sobule gained a national audience in 1995 with her hit “I Kissed a Girl.” She has worked with musical luminaries such as Todd Rundgren and Don Was, toured with Warren Zevon, John Doe, and Lloyd Cole, and given TED talks with comedienne Julia Sweeney. Jill initiated one of the first Kickstarter campaigns for financing an album - now a common practice.
The Milton Art Center is located at 334 Edge Hill Road in Milton, MA. In its brief existence as a non-profit it has enriched the town by offering art classes, staging exhibitions, and serving as a source for events such as the Halloween Stroll and Art-in-the-Windows. It also hosts a successful Open Mic night at the end of each month.
