“Every day brings fresh reports of our use of drones to suppress terrorists, usually in the Middle East, and there is an ongoing debate among thoughtful people about the morality of this weapon, ” says Lt. Gen. Clarence E. McKnight Jr.
Are these weapons sinister, antiseptic murder machines, or are they a method of conducting war with fewer casualties for their users and fewer innocents killed with their intended victims? Are they weapons of war like any other, or do they represent a new and illegal form of warfare?
