Milton Crew to Host South Shore Novice Challenge
The Milton High crew team will host a two-mile Neponset River rowing race on November 6.

Milton Crew will be hosting a high school rowing competition on the Neponset River that will include novice crews from around the south shore on Sunday, November 6. Rowers from Hingham, Quincy, Thayer Academy and will compete in the first South Shore Novice Challenge.
“Rowing is growing on the south shore and we are pleased to be collaborating with other coaches from the area in coordinating this event," said John Rhee, President of the Friends of Milton Crew. "It is going to be a great event for these first-time rowers.”
The competion, which is restricted to novice rowers, will start at the point at Victory Park in Dorchester and end at the I-93 overpass, a distance of two miles.

The boys race will begin at 10 a.m. and the girls will go off at 10:45 a.m. The public are encouraged to come watch. Pope John Paul Park will offer an excellent viewing location.
