Milton Golfer Plays in DBC Junior Cup

A Milton resident was among 40 junior golfers to play in the Sixth Annual John D. Mineck DBC Junior Cup at the Boston Golf Club over Memorial Day Weekend.

Patrick O’Leary represented Team New England against Team USA in the tournament for golfers between 11 and 18 years old.

O’Leary and his New England teammates defeated golfers from around the country, 63-17, in 20 four-player, best-ball matches.

The tournament, which follows a Ryder Cup style, is named for John D. Mineck, the Deutsche Bank Championship’s co-founder and co-founder of Boston Golf Club, who passed away in 2007.
